New Collection: Boho Dreaming

I give you Boho Dreaming, a new collection available on my etsy store for instant download. 

Here is what I have done with the new collection 

This collection complimented some photos I took of a friend a few years ago.

Then we have the cardmaker set.

I created the card for a friends birthday.

This Be Happy card is another wonderful example of use of the Boho Dreaming collection.

For those who use the Midori TN inserts, the new collection creates awesome insert covers.

New Collection: Urban Textures

How are you all?!

It has been sometime since I had done a blog post and an update, because much has been happening in my world.

The most exciting of which is that I have a new collection available on my Etsy store!

It is titled Urban textures and much of the content that is in the collection was collected (photographed) while I was in a wheelchair in 2016. My view and perspective of the world had changed, as a result my art changed accordingly.

I have even been doing some scrapbooking layouts with the new collections, and it has been SOME TIME since I did a scrapbook layout! I really like the grungy tones which lends itself to masculine themed layouts. FINALLY I have some thing that isn't vintage to scrapbook photos of my friends (most of which are male) with.

I even pulled out/found my embossing powders which doing this layout. I forgot I had them, but LOVE working with embossing powers, such a lovely medium to work with.

Also for those females that don't fit the pretty flower motif speaking from a personal stand point here.

New Collection Cafe au Lait

Hello avid crafters and passer bys.

I have a new collection to share with you today.

The inspiration comes from the idea of vintage Paris cafes.

There are some lovely rustic and grungy textures with coffee cup ring stains on the corners. All giving the sense of sitting out at a cafe on the streets of Paris drinking coffee while reading through the newspaper or inspecting a map with the idea of adventure. Travelling to exotic stores and buying precious merchandise.

The collection comes in the usual sizes:

I am considering doing A4 for those who live in countries with sensible paper sizing.

New Collection: Down the Rabbit Hole Book Kit

My latest collection was released this week on my webstore.

Down the Rabbit Hole 

This is my take on the wonderful story of Alice in Wonderland written by Lewis Carol and illustrated by the ever so talented John Tenniel.  This collection is bright and bold, however maintaining a bit of a vintage feel with use of textures and some of the details used. I have kept with tradition in the use of various icons images and the general story. I see this collection being a very versatile and popular with children themed cards and layouts. 

I thought I would do a couple videos to show what you get as a digital download and also how EASY it is to download and print. 

Last but not least is the Book Kit which I personally can not wait to have a play with.

Down the Rabbit Hole 

This is my take on the wonderful story of Alice in Wonderland written by Lewis Carol and illustrated by the ever so talented John Tenniel.  This collection is bright and bold, however maintaining a bit of a vintage feel with use of textures and some of the details used. I have kept with tradition in the use of various icons images and the general story. I see this collection being a very versatile and popular with children themed cards and layouts. 

I thought I would do a couple videos to show what you get as a digital download and also how EASY it is to download and print.

First up is the 12x12 papers.

Now unless you have an A3 printer you won't be able to print these at home with your printer. You can take the files down to a local print shop and have them printed A3.

New Collection: 1920

Hello creative ones.

I had a few requests regarding my Gentleman Collection that was released last year. Many people liked the backgrounds but didn't want the graphic elements on the papers.

As a result I have released the 1920 collection as just that. All the grungy textured backgrounds without the graphics. There are three sizes, 12x12, 8.5x11 Letter and Cardmakers Size which depending on the size paper you print it can come out at 5 3/4 inches. Meg's Garden Forgotten Meadows

Hello creative readers.

Today I want to talk about the new collection at Meg's Garden called Forgotten Meadows that I designed.

The inspiration for the collection comes from one of my favourite movies that I watch a few times a year. Howards End (1992) starring Emma Thompson, Anthony Hopkins and Vanessa Redgraves.

Set at the beginning of the 20th century in England. Vanessa Redgraves play the wife of a successful businessman who is very sick, and wants dearly to show her family home Howards End to her new friend played by Emma Thompson.  The part that inspired the collection was something Vanessa Redgraves said about the Howards End cottage. " It's in the morning my house looks most beautiful." This is because in the film the cottage is surrounded by meadows of grass and flowers and the way the morning sunlight hit the meadows is just beautiful.

My direction for this collection was a softer romantic feeling with a very subtle vintage aged look. I hope you like it and find it as inspiring as I was to make it. The collection is available in the 12 in single side papers, the mini/cardmakers pack, and a book kit as a digital download or printed medium.
