Imaginarium Designs Guest Designer Project 3

So for my last project i really wanted to use the feather. It is just so pretty and delicate. I painted it what and then used the Glossy Crackle medium over the top to give that lovely aged look. For the corner pieces, which i just love, I painted them black and then used some Versa Color Copper and Bronze over the top in some places with a dauber. After all that dried I put the Glossy Crackle over the top and let that dry. The end result is just fantastic.

"Try A Step Card", they said, "It will be fun", they said

As many of you may have realized by now, I have a favorite card fold I use, the easel or twist easel. and a few weeks ago I noticed a friend of mine got really stuck in to making step cards for a while, as is still pumping them out. I had made A step card a couple years ago and they personally scared me a bit. My friend made the comment that easel cards used to scare me, but now it is all I tend to make.

So one night I I gave it a try. No templates, no instructions, no nothing. Just me and some card stock and a collection of Kaisercraft papers.

Turned out damn fine! Very please with my self.

Imaginarium Guest Designer Project 2

I just love the frames Imaginarium Design's make. So I chose two of them and the rather beautiful Moroccan Border to compliment this holiday picture of my grandparents which was more than likely taken in the early 1930s. Unfortunately I don't know much about the holiday destination or the event but they look happy none the less. To see the whole project head over to Imaginarium Design HERE

Meg's Garden Design Team Top at Card

As I am so in love with the "Top Hat & Automobiles Collection" from Meg's Garden, it was fitting I make a card with it. Instead of making is a little feminine as I did in my January project for Meg's garden, I worked on just having that quintessential masculine feeling. The "Top Hat & Automobiles Collection" has some wonderful motifs in it, from the top hat to the old style light bulbs and gears/cogs.

Meg's Garden a Heritage Picnic

I really wanted to work with the "Top Hat & Automobiles Collection" from Meg's Garden, I just had to find a suitable photo for the layout. I started going through photos of my grandparents from when they were young, the 1920/1930 and came across some pictures of a picnic.

Here are some sneak peeks at the layout, head to the Meg's Garden blog HERE to see the rest
