The Coming of Age of a Young Man.

Hello there crafters. Welcome to my blog again.

Today I have a treat for you. My nephew turned 18 this weekend. I have been very busy the last couple weeks, but I whipped this card up last week for the birthday celebration.

As you may have worked out by now, I love easel cards. They are so much fun to make, I find as you get to adorn the inside of the card as well.

The card is 6x4 inches and I made the envelope for it specifically as the card had a bit of depth to it that I didn't want to try and jam into a standard envelope.

For the gears I used this technique to emulate rust.

I hope you like this card, please feel free to leave a comment or question.

I also entered this card in a GEAR it UP challenge over at The challenge can be see over here:

  1. Great card, did you use a rusting medium on the cogs>,wish I could whip up a card as quickly
