The Berri Adventure

A couple weeks back I went on a road trip with some friends to celebrate one of the parties 40th birthday. The birthday boy had booked a holiday shack up near Berri on the Murray River. Unfortunately just on leaving Adelaide I happened to cause some damage to my back and endured the 3 hours road trip to the holiday shack.

The holiday shacks view was amazing, picturesque and breath taking, which was a relief because with my back getting worse and the pain killers not working, it was at least a lovely place to just sit and what the world go by.

There also seemed to be some local wildlife that was rather curious who was occupying to premises at the time.

After sitting around watching the guys organise the boat the was hired, we headed off to the Overland Corner Hotel for dinner. Beautiful food, great company, and good live music. There was also a large hungry  Pharaoh Hound and insects involved but we coped.

Once dinner was consumed and we returned to the holiday shack the four of use sat out on the deck and marveled over a very clear crisp display of stars over head. After a while we all began to see satellites and a few shooting stars.

The following morning brought a glorious sunrise.

The rest of the day ended up rather windy but much fun was had by all.

The day was aptly ended was a equality captivating sunset.

But, alas, our time was up and we had to return to society (boo), and this was my parting photo of the view that had been so lovely to just sit and take in.
