Hello followers and welcome to another post today. I know that it has been a while since my last post which I am very sorry for. I have been taking some time to organise things to accommodate my wheelchair "Serenity". I am starting to get back into some craft work as my pain levels are easier to manage because of Serenity.
During the adjustment and adaptation period I had some lovely friends help me out with various things to help with my mental state and wellbeing. To thank them I made some easel cards. There was also a birthday girl amongst the list, who was so kind to take me out on her day off when she was working. I was very thankful to all who were there for me and helped out and I wanted them to know that I was so very thankful.
For these cards I have used the Kaisercraft After Five flocked paper which I totally love but am running short of but it is a beautiful paper with its richness.
The wood embellishments were what I had lying around some kaisercraft and others I have no idea who made them. But I painted them black and then coated them in Crackle Accents which is a fav of mine. I then went over the embellishment in spots with some silver and copper pigment ink on a dauber. Really loved that effect.
Butterflies, well you know me and butterflies. the brighter the better!
And there needed to be some bright flowers.
I am rather pleased with how they all came out and grateful for the therapeutic effect that the crafting hand on my mental health and physical wellbeing.
I have some layout plans which are sitting waiting for me to get through the list of other things I need to get done now that I am in less pain and more mobile. SO WATCH THIS SPACE!

A touch of Elegance
Hello all and welcome to another post on my blog.
A few months back I was asked to my a card for a friend of my brothers. Knowing that the recipient liked Art Nouveau and that she has a wonderful expressive side I created this for her.
I have had the Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante for a while and it wasn't until now that I saw the roses in the one paper. I was a great easel card to make I am really liked it. What do you think?

Cafe au Lait: Another one for the boys
Hi there crafters,
So another day, another birthday. Is it just me or is this year flying by really fast.
I have created a very elegant masculine (yes those two words go together, at least they do in my head).
I have used my Cafe Au Lait collection again for this one but I added a few gears and wood ephemera. The hot air balloon in from one of the older Kaisercraft collection which I cannot recall right now. So what do you think?
I even gave doing some typography a try, which came out rather well.
Remember I do make custom made cards. You can email me or head over to my Etsy and "convo" me there.
I hope you like. Leave a comment or question and Happy Crafting!

Cafe au Lait: A Man's Cards
Hello crafts and welcome to my blog again.
Here is a flip through of the entire collection
Please remember to subscribe to both my newsletter and youtube channel and please feel free to leave any comments or questions you may have about this project or the new collection.
I want to share some cards I made with the new Cafe au Lait collection. I made this collections JUST in time for my brothers birthday which was last week. Here is the card I made him.
This collection while not steampunk in its own right can be used to create a great steampunk genre card or layout. Add some airships, some gears and clocks along with some distressed edges and tada there you have it. I really like this card.

A Birthday Card and a Book Cover
I made this for a new friend who has had a birthday recently.
I also passed on one of my hand bound books as I have SOOO many of them and as this friend does draw I thought she might like it.
I actually made this book cover well over a year ago and did not like how it come out. To resolve this I coated the entire cover in gesso and started again.
I found a crimson spray in my stash and totally love it so using that and some black ink, I ended up with a VERY moody end result and loved it.
Now because I use sprays which are essentially ink you cannot seal the surface with matt medium or anything like that as it just rehydrates the ink and starts moving it around which was what happened the first time I did this cover. SO, what did I use? Hair spray.... and THEN sealed it with matt medium which worked a blast.
I had to relearning coptic stitch to bind the book because I haven't made a bound book in a while. Interestingly enough I seemed to have improved on the method a bit and I have no idea why or how. I am just going with it.
Let me know what you think by asking any questions.

Christmas cards
A friend contacted me asking for some Christmas cards. As I had been ill for a few months, I was unsure if I could get them made in time. Luckily enough I had some good days and got them finished will with in the expected time. Friend was really happy with the final outcome.

Meg's Garden: Correspondence mens cards
Hi there crafters! I have some more cards I made using The Correspondence collection
I first create a lot of feminine cards with The Correspondence, but this time I went for a more masculine feel.
The Correspondence papers are obviously from Meg's Garden as are the small metal gear charms, which I just love using. I also used a hot air balloon from the Around the World in a Balloon from the collage papers. The chippies are from Prima, Kaisercraft. The gear frame and brick wall on the next cards I cannot recall. (anyone that recognises it please leave a comment and remind me who creates it, thanks)
The next card uses some of the same items as the first.
The next card uses some of the same items as the first.
This next card was just a throw together of some of the things lying around on my desk. I do this sometimes as a bit of a challenge to myself, of just being able to use what I have at hand.
Again I have used The Correspondence collection and some of Meg's mini Backgournd papers and also a clock face from Old World Time transparency. The wood veneers are from Kaisercraft and Creative Embellishments
I would love to hear what you think of these projects.
Happy Crafting!
