Another of the cards that were made for a friend of mine. These cards all went over to the UK, which is a pretty awesome feeling, my work travels.

Birthday Card: Nephew #1
So we have had a 16th birthday, a 40th milestone and now another age of importance. Nephew #1 has turned 18 this year. I worked with some greens for him as this is his favorite colour.

The Berri Adventure
A couple weeks back I went on a road trip with some friends to celebrate one of the parties 40th birthday. The birthday boy had booked a holiday shack up near Berri on the Murray River. Unfortunately just on leaving Adelaide I happened to cause some damage to my back and endured the 3 hours road trip to the holiday shack.
Once dinner was consumed and we returned to the holiday shack the four of use sat out on the deck and marveled over a very clear crisp display of stars over head. After a while we all began to see satellites and a few shooting stars.
The following morning brought a glorious sunrise.
The day was aptly ended was a equality captivating sunset.
The holiday shacks view was amazing, picturesque and breath taking, which was a relief because with my back getting worse and the pain killers not working, it was at least a lovely place to just sit and what the world go by.
There also seemed to be some local wildlife that was rather curious who was occupying to premises at the time.
After sitting around watching the guys organise the boat the was hired, we headed off to the Overland Corner Hotel for dinner. Beautiful food, great company, and good live music. There was also a large hungry Pharaoh Hound and insects involved but we coped.

The rest of the day ended up rather windy but much fun was had by all.

But, alas, our time was up and we had to return to society (boo), and this was my parting photo of the view that had been so lovely to just sit and take in.

A seafaring Birthday Card
I hadn't made this style card yet, so I thought it was time to give it a go. I much say for such a simple card, it can be very detailed and dynamic. It is also a very economical card to make, not needing to much in the way of paper or card stock. I might try these a bit more in the future.

Family Album: Journey
Going through some old pictures I came across this. My brother will more than likely kill me for posting this photo of him, but the captured moment is just priceless, and I had to include it in my family album project.
