This is my father, Raymond Patrick Watson, at a very young age having some fun at the beach, curly mop of hair and all. The photo was more than likely taken by his father (my grandfather Ryan Leo Watson), who was an avid photographer. Thanks for Ryan, I have a massive collection of great photos to work with in creating my family album

Family Album: is it a bird...
This is a beautiful photo of my maternal grandfather, Eric Olwage, and my brother (when he was younger) looking up to the sky in wonderment. Wish I knew what it was they were looking at.

Family Album: Watson Boys
Another page to add to the album. This is my uncle on the right and my father on the left with my brother as a youngster in the foreground (very much before I was born). They look like a bunch of rascals to be honest, getting up to all sorts of mischief.

Family Album: Great Grandparents
I found these lovely photos of my father's, mother's parents (paternal great grandparents). My grandmother, "Margaret Freda Stevenson", who I posted an album page of earlier looks so much like her mother Ada Irene Birkett. I have been rather lucky finding out information about my great grandfather, Henry Watt Stevenson, however I don't know a lot about Ada for the time being.
I am very passionate about genealogy and my family history, I have been fortunate that I have been able to research my maternal family history, my paternal family history is a little more complicated. I just love that I have these photos that I can identify family members and I can generate these pages for the use of my family album.

Family Album: Margaret Freda Stevenson
I found this wonderful photo of my paternal grandmother. Again, I do not know much about the date and purpose of the photo but think it is a beautiful photos. My grandfather is most likely the photographer, but I am not certain of this. There are many elegant photos of my grandmother, which I am itching to scrapbooking.
Again I used a more multi media technique, adding on small elements here are there, as well as using some gesso and misting templates to achieve textures on the page.
I think I will work with a photo of one of the males in the family next and see what I can achieve.

Family Album: Beach Babe Halcyon Mignon Olwage
For a few years now I have had it in mind to make a photo album/family tree of the branches of my family tree. I have a large amount of photos that are just sitting in a box, some here in Adelaide with me and some with my brother and some more with my father. It seems a pity and a waist to just have them packed away, so I have brought them out to see the light of day. I started off with a photograph of my mother, when she was much younger. I know nothing of the day the photo was taken or how old she was, but I left it was a great photo of my mother as a young person.
This page ended up being a bit of an experiment in multi media and trying out a few other methods I had seen around in various blogs and on line groups. There is just such a large amount of inspiration out there to not try new things with almost every page one works on.
Beach babe
I will also be compiling a file for each family member, noting things like date of birth children, spouse and other things along that line. I am really looking forward to this project, as it has been some thing I have wanted to do for a long time.

Another friend is about to have her baby this week, so I made her a card as well. I used Kaisercraft Gypsy Sister collection, which I live but just don't have many occasion to use it.

Valentine Card
Made this for a friends partner. I had plans on making some for my Etsy store, however crippling back pain had me out of action for a while. I still kept my promise of making this one through.
Holiday Project: Mini Album #3
I got a little addicted to making these mini albums. The first (#1) was mine and then I made one for a friend who is very soon to be come a mother (#2). For the fun of it I ended up making another one of these beauties. They are SOOO much fun to make and some times feels like you get quite involved in making each of these albums. They seem to end up taking on their of personality and character, so every one is slightly different.
If any one is interested in having on of these mini albums please contact me on kjw@kerryjeanwatson.com.

Holiday Projects: Live out LOUD!
I had this particular layout sitting in my Pile-o-Things-Todo for a couple months and I finally got around to finishing it. I had bought and downloaded a very pretty Silhouette Studio pattern which I thought would work really well with these photos. With a few extra elements and buzz words the final layout works well. The buzz words are Kaisercraft rub ons, as are the tag, and playing cards and flowers.
The photo is from an impromptu shoot I did with an Adelaide based photographer a few years ago. Same photographer who did the photo in the One of a Kind.

Holiday Projects: Untitled Layout
I did this layout back in December for a class, I was in a bit of a rush and just stuck the first photo on that I could get my hands on. In the end I rather liked the choice of picture with the lay out as it makes me look a little less hard core ( a general term given too this photography).
The photo is from back in 1997/8 when I had shaved off all my long hair in order to not have to deal with Perth's hot summers giving me headaches. I think this was the 2nd or 3rd time shaving my head in about 3-4 months and I have since shaved my head a couple more times. I actually found it rather liberating shaving off my hair, unfortunately shaving has made my hair a bit stronger and a bit thinker.
The layout was done using scrap bits and pieces in my stock, so there are some Kaisercraft and Bo Bunny and a few Graphic 45 butterflies in there. The base card stock is Toffee from the Kaisercraft collection.

Card: Believe
I haven't been posting much lately, most because I haven't been crafting a lot which is a bit up setting. I also start my Bachelor of Health Science next Monday, but I plan on maintaining my Thursday craft session with a friend of mine.
I got a little stuck last week after making my nephews birthday card,I ended up making this card for the hell of it. I liked how it turned out, especially with the acetate.

New designs up on Red Bubble!
For those not aware, I have a Redbubble shop.
I add to it from time to time, but with my studies the last two years, I haven't had time. I plan on actually getting in to some more t-shirt designs and add some more photography for canvas prints.
For now, checkout what I have up there, there may be some thing that you cannot live with out. Also, there are a few photographs of Hot Rods on there for any eager car enthusiast.
