Mini Album #7 Periwinkel

After the last few weeks with study and work I needed a project that would keep my mind off things. A friend made the suggestion to make another mini album, knowing how much I LOVE making them.

I had NO idea what papers to use, so I started with just the base and posted up sneak peaks on Instagram.

I eventually decided on my paper collection, Kaisercraft Periwinkle

After finishing with the base pages and the patterned I then needed to work on the embellishments.

The final product is as follows:

I have been abit busy with works and school and archery, but I have had some time to do some scrapbooking. I found some old pictures from my previous birthdays and decided to add them to the album.

These are from when I turned 21.

Christmas Cards: Custom made

February 2012 I started a journey of learning so much more about my self. I was struggling with my studies and after my older brother was diagnosed with Dyslexia I look to getting assessed. After a day of phone around Adelaide looking for a psychologist who would not charge me a fortune to get assess, I got an email back from Benita Ranzon. Benita is an educational Consultant and an absolute angel, she has helped me firstly with my diagnosis and also with my fight with Centrelink when I got a unreasonable debt. So as a thank you I offered to make her some Christmas cards for her this year.

The second Birthday card for this week goes to Rodney. Every boy wants a robot, just wish I could have gotten him a real one.

A week and a bit ago I went and saw a very intuitive and helpful naturopath who has, after years of consultations with other health care providers, put me on the right path and I haven't felt better ever. With all the neuroplasticity I am going through at the moment, having a better idea of why my body is rebelling and what can be done to help and improve my well-being.

To show my appreciation I sent off a thank you card which was well received. Here is what I made Denise James.

Christmas Cards 2013

A few weeks ago I sat down with the urge to start some Christmas cards. I had an order to fulfil for a friend and I knew I had a stack of Christmas stock papers and embellishments. So far I have sold these to my good friend Peter.

A Thank you card

three weeks ago I went and saw Tracey Butler at Links to Learning here in Adelaide after doing research in to Sensory Processing Disorders. I emailed her with a personal experience I had at a busy shopping centre which she felt was related to a Auditory Processing Disorder and suggested I come in for a consultation and evaluation. Our suspicious were confirmed and the following week I picked up The Listening Program to start at home remediation. I have been on the program for 3 weeks and I as well others around me have noticed a marked difference in my responses to situations of all things my stress levels. I have been plagued with high stress and anxiety levels all my life and it isn't until now that I understand why. Knowing why and having a solution is so incredibly amazing, as well as knowing The Listening Program is working.

To show my appreciation to Tracey and her team I made a thank you car for her and her staff. I was a bit surprised today to see it posted on Facebook, but I am so glad they liked the card.

Unfortunately I don't have a great number of photos of my paternal family, what I do have is a small collection of digital images. These are two that I have of my maternal grandfather. The layouts were a very different method for me, but I allowed them to form as they wished to.
