This was my last Christmas in Perth before I moved east. It was the second one with out my mother and she was missed greatly.

My First hand made corset
Back in 1995 I was at Applecross Senior High School doing Saturday art classes. I was lucky enough to get in to the dressmaking class that was on offer and the instructor showed me how to make a custom corset from a basic bodice patter. I had a ball doing all the pattern drafting and then choosing fabric and finally constructing and producing the final garment. My brother was doing a photography unit at TAFE at the time and I have JUST shaved my head because summer was coming, all of which lead to having these two photos taken. Yes I look grumpy, I was an angsty teenager, not to meant the amount of grief I got for shaving off all my hair, which was a purely practical action.

Boys will be Boys
Here is another of the layouts done over the weekend. My brother back in 2002/3 when he used to have hair on top of his head. I remember it was a hot afternoon and my brother was fixing some thing, the only cool area was the porch on the side of the house. Our house mate was paying with Diva, next doors cat, who was perched on the fence. Good memories.

New creative flow
For many weeks now things have been pretty much all over the place. Work closing, the stress and anguish that went along with the entire situation. Trying to complete an assignment on Osteoarthritis before I could sit my assessment, which leads to having to revise all material for Anatomy and Physiology for the assessment on Thursday. I decided to take some time for my self and ended up scrapbooking all weekend, well most of it what with family BBQ's and impromptu camera lessons. I was happy in finishing 4 12x12inch pages. Yes, very happy with my self and my efforts.
This is one of those pages. My creative process is very much a "lay_things_out_until_it_works_for_me (TM), sometimes I have most of an idea in my head of how I would like things to be. Years of working and studying in the art industry has me being a lot more free with my creative process. Some times I do go through my "Inspiration" folder in order to work on a particular layout of to use up some thing specific like a die cut page.

Layout
Not much to say at the moment. I have been flat out packing up the Kaisercarft store on Unley Rd, which has been a headache on many levels. I was able to manage getting some crafting in the mean time.
Mark was a good friend of mine a few years back, we have since lost touch. I got some fantastic photos of him when we used to hang out, and I always felt he was a bright light in the world. Where ever he is, I wish him well.
